TREGO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE March 2004 It is with pleasure that we welcome and acknowledge our most recent member of the TREGO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE. Marlene (Deines) Connell, Des Moines, WA, Class of 1949, has recently become a member of TCFFEE and made a generous contribution as well. THANK YOU MARLENE! As we approach the end of this school year, the seniors are making preparations for their future, which includes applications for scholarships from many sources. The TCFFEE has been asked to administer funds and manage the application and selection process for two major scholarships to be awarded at the TCHS AWARDS NIGHT, May 13. These include the APPLEGATE family scholarship and the "Class of 1952" scholarship, which was initiated by the late Ron Phares on behalf of his graduating class. Each of these scholarship programs offers a $1,500 and a $1,000 award to two TCHS graduating seniors , to help them further their educations. The TCFFEE is proud and pleased to be involved with these scholarship programs which will continue to reward the recipients for their hard work, dedication to education, and talents and abilities.
